With some tarps hanging creatively, vandals in California on Monday tried to make the famous Hollywood sign in Los Angeles the word “Hollyboob”.
Los Angeles police captain Steve Lurie confirmed the incident in a tweet on Monday night.
Six people were arrested for the feat, which was intended to raise awareness of breast cancer, a LAPD captain told NBC Los Angeles.
Los Angeles Police Department spokesmen did not immediately respond to requests for comment from NBC News.
“Los Angeles landmarks are precious to us @LAPDHollywood and that wasn’t cool (not to mention the terrain is quite steep and dangerous), “Lurie I wrote.
According to NBC Los Angeles, the feat resulted in an LAPD helicopter flying overhead to locate the suspects, who received quotes and were later released.
The signal was not damaged, LAPD Sgt. Leonard Calderon said.
