LeBron warned of failure; NBA also warns teammate Kuzma

LeBron James was cautioned on Saturday for violating the NBA’s anti-flop rule after a play in which the star appeared to fall dramatically with little or no contact.

The league also alerted teammate Kyle Kuzma for having flopped in the same game, the Los Angeles Lakers’ 115-105 victory over Memphis on Friday.

James was between two Memphis players when teammate Anthony Davis kicked across the court. James fell back and threw his arms in the air, and a foul was called while the Grizzles players looked frustrated.

Kuzma was defending against Dillon Brooks when it turned completely and fell to the baseline.

Flop penalties have been rare in recent years, after the league began to crack down on trying to trick referees into making fouls, starting penalties in the 2012-13 season. Upon first notice, a player is fined $ 5,000 for a second offense.
