The NFL remains a business and part of the revenue generation process comes from the ability to sell T-shirts to fans. New uniforms and alternative uniforms become the easiest way to do this. With Nike, which would certainly cause some teams to wear different helmets and T-shirts every week, making the uniforms, it is surprising that more teams have not changed their uniforms in the past decade.
