In a couple of posts on Instagram on Monday, Fischer said he “is still recovering from a very difficult situation with death” and is “humble and grateful” for showing support since the shooting. He thanked the first respondents, including neighbors who asked for help, the Los Angeles Police Department and Lady Gaga for their support.
“Your babies are back and the family is whole … we made it! You showed a lot of support throughout this crisis for both me and my family. But your support as a friend, despite your own traumatic loss of your children, was unwavering. I love you and thank you, “wrote Fisher.
Last Friday, Fischer’s two violently stolen dogs were safely returned to the LAPD by an unidentified woman. Lady Gaga offered $ 500,000 for the safe return of the dogs, called Koji and Gustav.
In his posts, Fischer recounted how Asia, a third dog that was not taken, stood right next to him in the moments that followed the shooting, “as a car drove away and blood spilled from my gunshot wound”. Fischer said the trembling puppy curled up next to him, as his blood pooled around her.

LAPD detectives are still looking for two men responsible for the attack.
