Lady Gaga poses on Capitol Hill in a white cape dress

Lady Gaga is ready for the opening day.

The pop star revealed on Instagram on Wednesday that she arrived safely in Washington DC before tomorrow’s inauguration for President and Vice President-elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. The “Stupid Love” singer will present the national anthem at the inauguration ceremony.

In the photo shared with fans, Gaga poses inside the Capitol building wearing a custom white cape gown courtesy of Givenchy by Matthew Williams, which she combined with a matching face mask. She styled her platinum strands in a braided updo.

In her caption, the star alluded to the traumatic riots that occurred on Capitol Hill last week, while she wished for love and not violence.

“I pray that tomorrow will be a day of peace for all Americans. A day of love, not of hate. A day of acceptance, not of fear,” wrote Gaga. “A day to dream about our future joy as a country. A non-violent dream, a dream that gives security to our souls. Love, from the Capitol 🇺🇸 ”

Gaga was also photographed outside the Capitol building, while greeting National Guard soldiers.

Gaga is not the only superstar ready to take the stage for Inauguration Day tomorrow. Musicians Jennifer Lopez, Justin Timberlake and Demi Lovato are also artists scheduled for the day’s celebrations.

Gaga openly supported the Biden-Harris slate that preceded last November’s presidential election. In addition to encouraging her fans and followers to get votes with a series of encouraging social media posts, she also performed at a fundraising charity event in Philadelphia for the now elected president.
