Lady Gaga’s dog walker, who was shot while walking the star’s French bulldogs in Los Angeles, wrote an emotional post on social media on Monday morning, describing the ambush and thanking the star for her support.
“4 days ago, as a car accelerated and blood spilled from my gunshot wound, an angel trotted and lay down beside me. My panicked cries subsided as I looked at her, although I registered that the blood accumulated around her tiny body was mine, ”Ryan Fischer, 39, wrote on Instagram, referring to Gaga’s dog, Miss Asia, who escaped dognapping.
“I packed Asia as best I could, thanked her for all the incredible adventures we had together, apologized for not being able to defend her brothers and then decided that I would still try to save them … and myself.”
Fischer, who shared two photos of him recovering in a hospital bed, including one showing a breathing tube, was ambushed by two brutes last Wednesday in West Hollywood while taking Gags’ Frenchies, Gustav, Koji and Miss Asia, to a walk while the star was in Italy.
The video shows the suspects jumping out of a white Nissan Altima and demanding that Fischer return the puppies, but the animal lover and professional dog walker refused.
Fischer fought with the suspects, described as two black men between the ages of 20 and 25, who shot him in the chest, grabbed Gustav and Koji and fled.
The video shows Fischer crying on the pavement in agony, screaming that he was bleeding while Miss. Asia ran to your side.
“Hoping that my calm (ish) and energetic pleas for the urgency of my care, as well as the dog’s focused descriptions would be enough to help me and get enough police and media attention to find the boys, I looked back for my guardian angel. I smiled at her shaky form, thankful that at least she was fine, ”Fischer wrote about Miss. Asia.
“From that moment on, as soon as the neighbors left their houses and the restaurant for us on the sidewalk, life took a sudden and unexpected turn.”
For two days, the dogs disappeared – but on Friday, they were found. A good Samaritan, who allegedly found the cubs tied to a post miles away from where they were captured, picked them up and returned them to a Los Angeles police station.
“I am still recovering from a very difficult situation with death and I have remained (for the most part, I mean, I am human) from the growing history of the media. I will write and say more later, but the gratitude for all the love I feel across the planet is immense and intense. I felt your healing support! Thank you, ”wrote Fischer.
The Ohio native and former New Yorker said he was “humble and thankful” that the police’s attention and focus were enough to bring the dogs back to safety and he knows that “they are committed to taking these criminals and tempters from homicide to justice. ”
“I am very grateful for everything you continue to do,” he said.
While he was in the ICU and later on in his recovery, Fischer said that texts and conversations from family and friends, along with videos of dogs and pictures of clients, kept his spirits up and “worked miracles.”
“Seeing their faces light up when you said my name motivates me to keep pushing so I can play with them and see you again soon. I love you all! Rescuers and health professionals: you literally saved my life and helped me take newborn walks, I can’t thank you enough, ”says the post.
Fischer concluded the two-part post thanking Gaga.
“[Y]our babies are back and the family is whole … we made it! You have shown a lot of support throughout this crisis, both for me and my family. But his support as a friend, despite the traumatic loss of his children, was unshakable. I love you and thank you, ”he wrote.
“And now? A lot of healing still needs to happen, but I’m looking forward to the future and the moment when I will be bombarded with kisses and licks (and maybe even a pee of excitement?) From Asia, Koji and Gustav.”
