Kylie Jenner can be many things, but “heartless” is not one of them.
The mega-rich beauty expert, 23, defended herself via Instagram on Monday after fans attacked her for asking for donations to help cover makeup artist Samuel Rauda’s medical bills after a terrible car accident. And although Jenner is known for her luxurious lifestyle, she donated only $ 5,000 to her friend.
After calling the reaction “false narrative” in her Instagram story, she explained: “I saw my current makeup artist and friend Ariel post about Sam’s accident and her family’s GoFundMe and called Ariel immediately to see what happened. with Sam [sic]. ”
The reality show star said she decided to visit the fundraising page at that time and saw that the target was set at $ 10,000 and her family had raised $ 6,000.
“I put 5k to achieve its original goal and I thought about posting in my stories to gain more awareness if someone also felt compelled to share or donate,” she wrote.
“Anyone who knows me knows that I do things from the heart and I try to be useful whenever I can,” he concluded. “We are all going to be positive and keep Sam, his family and anyone you know who is going through a difficult time in our prayers. I hope you have a beautiful day and we will encourage ourselves to help. “
She also noted that “Sam is not my makeup artist and, unfortunately, we no longer have a personal relationship, but I worked with him a few years ago and I think he is the sweetest”.

According to the GoFundMe page, Rauda underwent major surgery on March 14 after being involved in a car accident and is in a “fight” for his life.
Rauda’s friend, La Demi, explained that “he flew from a moving vehicle, crushing his head on the asphalt”, resulting in “internal bleeding and 8 different brain injuries”.
The GoFundMe page now has a goal of $ 120,000.
Huda Kattan, founder of HUDA Beauty, donated $ 10,000 to help Samuel, while Bella Thorne donated $ 5,000 and Sofia Richie donated $ 3,000. Jenner’s best friend, Anastasia “Stassie” Karanikolaou, donated $ 1,000 and Kardashian West Brands’ former chief of operations, Steph Shep, donated $ 750.
