Konami has officially announced that the company will dissolve and then restructure its production divisions. The website, available in Japanese and English, says that Konami will take steps involving all three production divisions in “response to the fast market that surrounds” the company. The restructuring and dissolution will take effect immediately on February 1, 2021.
At the same time, the site listed changes in office staff and corporate directors that will be replaced in new positions on the same date as part of the venture. These people included newly appointed corporate directors and a newly appointed executive director. Selected members from all three production divisions will be moved to general production departments and product support divisions. Konami did not provide further information about the structural change within the company.
Konami recently re-released selected titles from the Metal Gear and silent Hill series on the PC through the GOG store. In parallel to this, it launched the Konami collector series: Castlevania and Contra PC versions. Both are available for purchase and download from the GOG store as well.
In May 2020, Konami loaded the Castlevania original soundtracks from the series for Spotify. Soundtracks are available for international broadcast. The available soundtracks include titles such as Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Castlevania: Curse of Darknessand Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia.
