Vice President Kamala Harris’ niece said on Tuesday that she assumed the alleged mass shooter in Colorado was a white man, partly because he was taken into custody alive, leading to accusations that she was involved in racial discrimination. .
Meena Harrris was forced to delete a tweet erroneously assuming the race of the alleged killer of 10 people in a Boulder grocery store, after it was revealed that he was of Syrian descent.
“The Atlanta shooting didn’t even happen a week ago. Violent white men are the biggest terrorist threat to our country,” tweeted Meena Harris on Monday.

Now that Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, 21, is in custody for the shooting, Harris admitted that his assumption was based on the fact that he “was taken into custody alive and the fact that most mass shootings in the United States are executed by white men. ”
Alissa was born in Syria, but has lived in the United States most of her life, according to reports. He was injured during the shooting before being arrested. One of the 10 killed in the massacre was a police officer, Officer Eric Talley.
