I don’t find many crocodiles in my life. In fact, the only times I see them are when I’m fishing in the Everglades, Florida, or on vacation in Panama or Costa Rica. But they cause fear in my heart in a way that a crocodile never would.
Crocs will swim in a crowd and choose an easy meal as if it were no big deal. They will shoot at feeding animals that come to the water’s edge to drink. They are stealthy predators, but they are not against working hard for a meal. So, when a healthy snack like this shark simply falls into a crocodile’s lap, the shark is 100% being eaten without remorse.
This Australian woman was fishing on ‘Cardwell Beach in Far North Queensland’, according to News Australia. She said she couldn’t get the shark back in the water. It seems his plan was to drop it until the shark came back. But this huge four-meter crocodile saw the meal easy and the rest is history. Fair warning, she uses bad words in this video, but she is Australian, so it is very hilarious.
It looks like the video got a little slow for some reason. At first, I thought the narrator looked like a waste, but I think they just slowed the YouTube video down to 0.9x normal speed. You can hear her saying “Look at this monster … holy shit, I just caught a shark, I couldn’t go back into the water because this guy was coming, and now he is going to come in and eat it and I’m going to bite myself. Oh my lord, he has one, two, three … I can see four meters and he still has his tail in the water. I have never shaken so much in my life. “
I have to show the respect for her to become totally Australian in this video. She can use profanity in a soft and silky way that only Australians are capable of. Their culture is a great master class in the use of profanity and I am forever impressed.
