Josh Hawley’s wife describes being alone with a child during a protest outside the home: ‘I heard screaming

Senator Josh Hawley’s wife, R-Mo., Detailed a scary protest that was staged in front of the couple’s home in Virginia on the evening of January 4.

Erin Hawley, a lawyer, told “Hannity” that she was at home with her seven-week-old daughter when she heard “angry voices” outside. The senator and their two children were back in Missouri at the time.

“I went up the stairs and saw about 20 protesters outside our house,” Hawley told host Sean Hannity. “They were screaming with bull horns. I went out with our baby in my arms and asked them to leave, saying that we had a new baby – which was obvious – and also neighbors. They refused.”

After Hawley came back inside, she said, “three gentlemen” knocked on her door and shouted at bull horns for her to “get out, get out”.

JOSH HAWLEY’S WIFE FILE CRIMINAL CLAIM AFTER PROTEST OUTSIDE HIS HOME

“If my two boys were at home, they would be terrified and I thank God they were not, but it is not a minor incident to scare families or terrify children,” said Erin Hawley.

“Protesters know this. There are many public spaces where they can get their message across. The First Amendment protects this, but it does not protect arriving at a family home at night.”

Hawley said she had not yet been contacted by any of her husband’s Democratic colleagues, but praised her neighbors, who she said belonged to “all kinds of political beliefs for their kindness and support”.

“There are good people in the world,” she said, “but no elected Democratic official has been called.”
