Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been playing great football this season while his family has been fighting.
Allen lost his grandmother in 2020, news that became widely known as fans donated more than $ 1 million to Oishei Children’s Hospital in his memory. What was less well known is that Allen’s father has been fighting the COVID-19.
Sam Farmer’s Los Angeles Times reports that Joel Allen, who flies across the country to watch his son’s games when he can, will not attend Sunday’s game because he is recovering from COVID-19 and pneumonia and was hospitalized this month.
As great athletes usually do, Allen managed to stay focused on the field, having an excellent season and now leading the Bills to a Super Bowl victory.
