JoJo Siwa revealed that he has a girlfriend while pondering coming out as a member of the LGBTQ + community while talking to Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday.
YouTube star and TikTok, 17, talked about her ‘wonderful, perfect, most beautiful’ partner, and said it was her other half who encouraged her to take on publicly by posting her photo in a ‘Best. Gay. Cousin. Ever.’ shirt.
She added that although she thought it was “a risk” to take, she knew more people would accept this than not, and she was delighted to be able to “share what makes her happier with the world”.

About coming out, Jojo said to Jimmy: ‘It was the craziest thing of all, literally everyone and their brothers called me, sent me text messages, sent me messages on Instagram, tweeted.
‘I think it was the greatest love I have ever received, and the cool thing is that it was the last bit of me that the world had not yet seen and it was really incredible.’
Asked if she had planned to come out publicly, JoJo stated that when she was making her TikTok dance video with her friends at Pride House, she quickly realized that it was ‘leaving me behind’.
‘I really don’t care, because it’s true,’ she said. ‘I have the most amazing, wonderful, perfect and most beautiful girlfriend in the whole world, it’s not something I’m ashamed of, it’s just something I haven’t shown on the internet yet.’

JoJo continued: ‘So they posted this and people started commenting to me’ are you leaving, what is this? ‘I thought, you know what? I can mess with them and tease them a little, or I can confirm why it’s true or I can’t do anything about it and just leave it there.
‘I thought I just wanted to make a TikTok to be born like that, because yes it is true right away and everything is fine. So I did a TikTok for Born This Way and everyone was like ‘wow, it’s her leaving, this is the time.’
Continuing to talk about the photo she took with her ‘best gay cousin’ shirt, she added: ‘I was on FaceTime with my girlfriend – that was after posting TikTok Born This Way – and we were talking about it and the love that came in, and we were both like, technically, I still haven’t confirmed it.

Discussing how she felt about taking over, she admitted that “it can be a scary thing”, as she said to Jimmy: “Some people will not be able to accept it now, but many people will be able to accept it now.
‘And I say that even though there are a million people who don’t, there are 100 million who do, so keep that in mind.’
She continued: ‘So, after posting, I thought’ okay, I did ‘back to FaceTime with her … I was talking to her and it was like you know what I realized? How risky that was.
‘And she asked why and I said’ Technically it was a very big risk to post this … but if I lost everything I created by being myself and by loving who I want to love, I don’t want to.
‘If I can’t love who I want to love, that’s one of the most important things for me.’

The YouTube sensation thanked her cousin for the outfit as she displayed the black and blue t-shirt to her followers on social media on Friday.
JoJo cleared up any confusion about coming out on Saturday when he confirmed that he is a member of the LGBTQ + community, but said he was not yet ready to put a label on his sexuality.
“I already thought about it, and the reason I’m not ready to say that answer is because I don’t really know the answer,” explained Jojo.
She said: ‘I always believed that my person would be just me. If that person were a boy, great! And if that person was a girl, great! I think I’m really happy. I think in life you know when you know your person, I really do.

One person asked about his breakup with Mark Bontempo in November 2020, but she downplayed the possibility that it was related to her sexuality.
“People split up,” she said. ‘People when teenagers break up, you have a boyfriend or girlfriend when you’re six and break up with them, you don’t stay with them forever.
‘I was a teenager, I’m still a teenager, but I think I’m very happy now. I’m fine now. ‘
