John Travolta’s daughter wrote an emotional tribute to the actor this week when he celebrated his first birthday since the death of his wife, Kelly Preston.
Travolta turned 67 on Thursday, prompting Ella Travolta, 20, to access her Instagram on Friday.
“Happy birthday to the most amazing man I have ever met. You are not only the best father of all time, but also my best friend,” wrote the beginning actress on Instagram.
Ella also thanked Travolta for “creating us, helping us and loving us”.

“The world is so lucky to have you and so are we. I love you, Dad. I had so much fun celebrating your birthday with you yesterday ❤️❤️❤️,” concluded Ella.
The father-daughter duo has made headlines in recent months for their close connection. Earlier this month, the actor and his daughter starred in a Super Bowl LV commercial together. The Scotts Miracle-Gro commercial shows Travolta struggling with an iPhone tripod while Ella watches.

The two then transition to a dance routine inspired by “Grease” that the actor performed alongside Olivia Newton-John in 1978. The pair can be seen dancing along with Surface “Sunday Best”.

In a statement shared with Fox News, the Golden Globes winner spoke about the opportunity to act alongside his daughter in the next big game announcement.
“The Super Bowl for me is a big annual celebration,” noted Travolta. “When Scotts Miracle-Gro asked me to make an announcement for the Super Bowl with my daughter, I was thrilled, especially as they invited us to dance together.”

“We had a lot of fun honoring the yard with all these wonderful people, on our” Sunday Best “for Super Bowl Sunday,” he added.
Preston, who starred in films such as “Jerry Maguire” and “Twins”, died in July, aged 57, after fighting breast cancer for two years. Travolta was the one who announced Preston’s death. They were married for 19 years.
“It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly lost her two-year battle with breast cancer,” wrote Travolta on Instagram the day after his death. “She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many.”

He continued, “My family and I will be forever grateful to the doctors and nurses at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, to all the medical centers that have helped, as well as to the many friends and loved ones who have been by your side. Love and life will always be I’ll take the time to be with my children who lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you haven’t heard from us for a while, but know that I’ll feel your outpouring of love in the coming weeks and months as we heal. all my love, JT. “
Preston also left her and Travolta’s son, Benjamin, 10. Her son Jett died in 2009 at the age of 16.
