On Thursday, the New York Jets announced that it had reached an agreement with San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh to be the next coach. Saleh will replace Adam Gase, who has accumulated an unfortunate 9-23 record in his two seasons in charge. The Jets won just two games in the 2020 season and have the second overall choice in the NFL’s 2021 draft next April.

The Jets have nowhere to go, except after a 2-14 season and Saleh will certainly have a hard time for him. It will be interesting to see if Saleh decides to continue trying to develop the first round of 2018 and choose Sam Darnold as the starting defender of the future.

However, initial reactions from Twitter show that Jets fans agree to the team’s sale of Saleh.
