Jessica Simpson is revealing her thoughts on Nick Lachey.
The 40-year-old star is launching a paperback edition of her 2020 memories, “Open Book”, which will include all new entries from the singer’s diary “I Wanna Love Yor Forever”.
In an excerpt obtained by Entertainment Tonight, the star reflected on the end of her relationship with Lachey, now 47. The two married from 2002 to 2006.
Less than a year after the separation, the 98 Degrees alumnus began dating Vanessa Minnillo – now Lachey – whom he married in 2011.

“So, Nick, are you already with someone else? It looks like you forgot the love you spoke to me with,” said Simpson in the handwritten diary entry. “I’m very sad.”

She added: “Alone in the dark, with no one to call mine.”
Lachey’s representatives did not immediately respond to Fox News’s request for comment, while Simpson’s representatives declined to comment further.
Simpson had already opened up about his relationship with the singer and revealed one of the reasons behind his divorce.

“With Nick, I was 22 when we got married … When I started getting sponsorship contracts separate from him, there was a little bit of tension,” she said. “[The press] placed us as a trophy couple that we really weren’t.
Nowadays, Simpson said that he is “happy” for his ex.

“We were both guilty of many things, but I am happy for him now. He is married and has three beautiful children,” she explained. “He was heartbroken and turned it into something beautiful.”

Lachey and his wife have three children: Camden, 8, Brooklyn, 6, and Phoenix, 4.
“That’s what I also did, but it took me longer to get there,” added Simpson.

She is now married to former football player Eric Johnson. They also share three little ones: Maxwell, 8, Ace, 7 and Birdie Mae, 2.
