Jessica Simpson is looking at her divorce from Nick Lachey in new entries of your memories, Open the book.
In a section shared by Entertainment Tonight, a Dukes of Hazzard actress reveals how painful it was to know about her ex-husband’s relationship with Vanessa Lachey, Minnillo, a few months after they split up.
As Jessica writes in the diary entry: “So, Nick, are you already with someone else? It seems that you forgot the love you spoke to me … I am very sad. Alone in the dark, with no one to call my own.”
In the memoir, released last February, Jessica detailed how her four-year marriage fell apart publicly when they starred on the MTV series Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica.
Although many assumed that the reality show was the cause of the divorce, Jessica said no. Last February, she explained, “I don’t believe the show destroyed our marriage.”

“Nick and I were very good at being together publicly and on camera. We were better in our relationship when we sang together. I felt like we were at home in that place, ”Jessica continued. “But when it comes to doing the reality show, we kind of had fun with it until the end – until we started having marital problems.”
In addition, she revealed in her memoirs that she had an emotional relationship with Dukes of Hazzard Co-star Johnny Knoxville, which she felt was “worse than physical”.
The star, who became famous for saving herself for the wedding, wrote in the memoirs: “After I actually had sex, I understood that the emotional part was what mattered. And Johnny and I had this, which seemed much more like a betrayal of the my marriage than sex. “
It wasn’t long after the film’s premiere that she and Nick followed separate paths, with the 98 degrees singer taking half of Jessica’s income in the divorce settlement.
Jessica does not necessarily regret the marriage, but feels remorse for never having signed a prenuptial agreement. She reiterated this in an interview with Doctor Oz, explaining how she was “offended” when Nick first brought it up. She recalled, “I was like, ‘We’re going to be together for the rest of our lives. We’re saying our vows to God and in front of all of our family and friends. Like, this is never going to end.’ And we didn’t sign a prenuptial agreement. “
Furthermore, Jessica and Nick stayed a few months after finalizing the divorce. According to Jessica, she watched a documentary about the making of Nick’s album What’s left of me, as well as his Making the video special on MTV for his song of the same title, and decided to invite him to chat, because she felt she needed to “fix it”. One thing led to another and they slept together.
Coincidentally, Vanessa Vanessa and Nick crossed paths for the first time when she starred in the “What’s Left of Me” video. Five years later, they were married in 2011 and have since welcomed three children.
