MacKenzie Scott – the ex-wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos – married a science teacher who works at a private school in Seattle, according to a report.
Scott, one of the richest women in the world, known for her philanthropy, married Dan Jewett, a professor at Lakeside School, a source told the Wall Street Journal.
The Amazon author’s page currently says that she “lives in Seattle with her four children and her husband, Dan,” the report said.
Scott helped Bezos found Amazon in 1994. The two, who have four children, divorced in 2019 after the revelations of Bezos’s affair with Los Angeles TV reporter Lauren Sanchez.
The divorce left Scott with 20 million shares of Amazon, or about 4 percent of the e-commerce giant. At the time, the shares were about $ 30 billion.
After the split, Scott signed the Giving Pledge, setting a goal to donate more than half of his wealth, which according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, now stands at $ 53.5 billion.
