Irish nuns caught breaking COVID restrictions to attend exorcism

Two Irish nuns were arrested for violating the coronavirus pandemic restrictions to participate in an exorcism by Irish leaders, according to a report.

Sister Irene Gibson and Sister Anne Marie traveled through the Emerald Isle to eliminate the alleged evil spirits of the President of Ireland and the country’s top lawmakers, according to the Irish Examiner.

But his habits disrespected blocking measures, which forbade residents to travel more than three miles from home, the newspaper reported.

The December 8 exorcism expedition from Cork to Dublin was about 135 miles.

The release of Dáil Éireann – an organ of the Irish legislature – was followed by an open-air mass attended by about 70 people. According to Irish blocking rules, no more than 15 people were allowed to meet outdoors at the time.

A video of the exorcism shows Father Giacomo Ballini, of the dissident group The Society of St Pius Resistance, sprinkling holy water on an Irish government building while praying that Satan “would leave this place”.

The sisters, of the Carmelite Sisters of the Holy Face of Jesus, had already been convicted of violating planning regulations when organizing a religious retreat, according to the examiner.

They were reportedly forced to leave their compound due to the breach.

But the nuns will not continue to flee – a GoFundMe website to help the relocation raised nearly $ 100,000 on Monday afternoon.

Both the priest, who preaches at a farmhouse in County Cork, and the Carmelite Sisters of the Holy Face of Jesus, operate independently from the Catholic Church, the newspaper reports.
