Borussia Dortmund playmaker Erling Haaland prefers a transfer to Real Madrid rather than a number of other interested clubs, according to reports.
The Norwegian leader has attracted the attention of both Manchester City and Manchester United – and Madrid is also in the running in the saga of big money transfers.
Marca said, however, that Haaland chose the current LaLiga champions as their preferred future destination.

The report said the club identified Haaland and Paris Saint-Germain talisman Kylian Mbappe as potential recruits to reshape their attack force.
Having arrived at Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg in late 2019, Haaland would have concentrated on taking his next move, depending on his form, in the summer of 2022.
His attractive exploits in front of the goal anticipated this deadline, however, with a series of elite European teams eager to attack.

Madrid is believed to be aware of Haaland’s determination to join them – with negotiations apparently now approaching between the two parties.

However, City and United should not give up on the chase. Sportsmail understands that contact has already been made between Etihad and the Haaland camp.
United will struggle to find a suitable figure to withdraw the move, meanwhile, with Haaland’s £ 90 million purchase clause needing to be paid in one installment.

Chelsea also have the resources to carry out the sensational transfer when Haaland, as expected, chooses to leave Dortmund in the coming months.
The prolific striker drew attention after scoring 31 goals in 30 matches in all competitions so far this season.
Marca also suggested that it would be “easier” for Madrid to close a deal for Haaland, instead of trying to get Mbappe out of PSG.

But they remain hopeful that it will be possible to strike a deal with both, with Real hoping to sell the idea of wearing the club’s famous shirt as an unmissable opportunity.
