Impeachment aide says the chart accidentally included a fake blue check in the tweet shown at the trial

A senior impeachment adviser said the inclusion of a fake blue checkmark in the tweets that were presented at the Senate trial was an accident.

The tweets showed comments from Jennifer Lynn Lawrence, who was retweeted by former President Trump. The two tweets displayed included blue check marks next to Lawrence’s name.

Blue checks show that the user’s identity has been verified and also indicate a certain status.

“The final chart accidentally had a blue check mark, but the substance was completely accurate,” said the aide.

The aide added: “It is further evidence of President Trump’s attention and knowledge of what was being openly planned on January 6 by his followers, even those without Twitter checks.”

Highlighting Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., Lawrence tweeted earlier this week: “I was never verified on Twitter, so why did my Tweet used in impeachment without facts include a verification badge?”

In an open letter, Lawrence rejected Swalwell’s suggestion that she intended to bring troops to the Capitol. The California congressman was criticizing his claim that it would bring “ordeal”, but supposedly misinterpreting it as horses or “cavalry”.

Calvary, according to the Bible Gospels, is a place outside the walls of Jerusalem where Jesus was crucified

Swalwell mispronounced “calvary” as “cavalry” when reading his tweet and went on to complain on February 10: “This was not just any protest. President Trump was inciting something historic. The cavalry was coming and he was organized.”

“I don’t work with horses (I’m from New York),” wrote Lawrence. “I am not in the army either, so the use of the word cavalry would have been very stupid. It is a wonder that Congressman Swalwell did not notice.

“Bringing the crucifixion of Jesus Christ (also known as the salvation of all) back to Washington DC was EXACTLY why we organized three successful protests on November 14, December 12 and January 5. We believe that our sacred institutions have rotted away with swelling and corruption PRECISELY because they separated the State from God. “
