How to get a free Kibo Pikachu mystery gift in Pokémon Sword & Shield

To celebrate the end of 2020, The Pokémon Company is offering a special ‘mon from space in Sword & Shield. Here’s how to claim your galactic Kibo’s Pikachu for free now for a limited time.

Pokémon fans around the world were delighted when the beloved Nintendo franchise made an appearance on the International Space Station during the epic live event Space Sunrise on December 31.

To celebrate the end of 2020, Sword & Shield players are getting a special version of outer space Pikachu for free. Here are the steps you need to collect the limited Monday time.

Pokémon Sword & Shield wins galactic gift for the New Year

While Japan played in the New Year, popular monsters like Pikachu and Rayquaza appeared on the International Space Station using incredible AR technology. While the live broadcast ended without major Game Freak ads, viewers received a special Pikachu in Sword & Shield.

Fortunately, it can be claimed by anyone. The unique version of the adorable mascot is themed on the Kibo space module, which is separate from the ISS. The character lovingly holds a Comet Shard while using the Thunderbolt, Swift, Wish and Celebrate moves. It also has a special ribbon.

Players will have to act quickly as the Mystery Gift for a limited time expires on January 15th.

How to Claim Free Kibo Pikachu on Sword and Shield

  • Step 1: After initializing your Sword & Shield rescue, press X and scroll down to the Mystery Gift menu.
  • Step 2: Click on “Get a Mystery Gift” and select “Get via the Internet.”
  • Step 3: Select “GIFT PIKACHU FROM KIBO“And ready. If you have an Internet connection, it should put ‘mon in your game instantly.

Pokémon fans can claim New Year’s Eve Pikachu using Sword & Shield’s Mystery Gift feature.

While some may be disappointed with the promotion of being more of a Pikachu, the free reward was a really cool combination for those who watched the epic galactic live broadcast event.

As we move forward in 2021, it is not clear whether Sword & Shield will have more future content. But with Pokémon celebrating its 25th anniversary in just a few months, fans have a lot to look forward to.
