HOUSTON WEATHER: Is there a chance of snow in Texas next week?

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – Is there a chance of snow in Texas next week?

Yes, but not necessarily in southeastern Texas. A huge mass of arctic air will invade the country and reach the Gulf coast.

West moisture will mix with it and produce snow in northern Texas.

Will the Houston area see anything?

Well, our atmosphere may be cold enough to withstand some freezing rain or sleet next Friday. Before that, it will only be a cold rain starting on Wednesday.

This event is still a long way off and a lot can change.
