The clinic, which opened on February 24, was scheduled to stay in place for six weeks. Turner and Hidalgo are now requesting ongoing support until at least May 31, 2021.
Before the clinic opened, organizers said at least the federal website should vaccinate 126,000 people. The mega-site should greatly increase the chances of getting the photo soon.
According to the request of Turner and Hidalgo, on March 21, 12.1% of the population of Harris County – aged 16 and over was fully vaccinated.

Prior to launching the site, Judge Hidalgo said that individuals 65 and older on the waiting list, coming from the city and the county’s top 10 postal codes, would receive priority vaccines on the site.

The next priority group will be those aged 65 and over.
The fourth priority group will be that of 60 to 64 years of age with underlying medical conditions.
FEMA is using the Harris County and Houston City waiting lists. Individuals are being contacted for consultation.
