NANCY PELOSI: On Monday, we’ll start working on the account details. Hopefully, in a two-week period, we will send something to the Senate. At the moment, we are focused like a laser on doing this.

It is about destroying the virus. It’s about honoring our heroes, our people who work to do that. It is about putting money in the pockets of the American people. In a matter of more than – less than two weeks, I hope, but around that time, we hope to be able to put vaccines in people’s arms, money in people’s pockets, children safe in schools and workers in their jobs.

The president was his custom – based on values, informed knowledge and strategic thinking in his presentation. It was a joy to hear his commitment to meet the needs of the American people, open, like all of us, to bipartisanship, but nonetheless, interested in getting results as quickly as possible in the best possible way. And our hope would be that we have bipartisanship. I think having a reconciliation bill is necessary to let us know that we are going to make it – to ensure that we will get results and, hopefully, to give us some advantage with Republicans. I hope we can work together.
