CASTLE SHANNON, Pa. (KDKA) – The Allegheny County Health Department is setting up a coronavirus vaccine clinic in Castle Shannon to vaccinate people 65 and older.

In a statement on Friday, the Allegheny County Health Department said the clinic will open on Tuesday at the Castle Shannon Fire Department Banquet Hall on Library Road. Employees emphasize that no on-site registration or appointment is allowed.
“Anyone who arrives at the scene without an appointment, or is not 65 or older, will be rejected,” the Allegheny County Health Department said in a statement.

People aged 65 and over can apply online for an appointment starting on Saturday at 9am. Telephone registration will be available from 9am on Tuesday, calling 2-1-1.
“The links will be posted at that time on the Department of Health’s COVID-19 Vaccine Information website and sent through Allegheny Alerts,” said the online registration statement.
“Phone bookings are intended for those who do not have access to a computer or the Internet or who have difficulty navigating the online registration system and will be reserved for those who call who meet these criteria,” adds the statement.
