Hogwarts legacy, the RPG set in the Harry Potter universe, was postponed until 2022. The game’s delay was announced through a statement on your official Twitter account on Wednesday.
“We would like to thank fans around the world for the tremendous reaction to the announcement of Hogwarts legacy of our record label Portkey Games, ”said the developer in a statement. “Creating the best possible experience for the entire Wizarding World and game fans is critical for us, so we are giving the game the time it needs.”
Hogwarts legacy is developed by Avalanche Software, the studio behind Disney Infinity games, and published by Warner Bros. label Portkey Games. Interactive Entertainment for Harry Potter games.
The game will be an action RPG and will take place at the famous school of witchcraft and magic that Harry Potter calls home in his adventures in the books. However, far from the time of the original Fantastic Beasts book series and most recent films, Hogwarts legacy will be set in 1800, giving players the chance to see more of the Wizarding World and discover some of the history and secrets of the most famous school in the series.
Hogwarts legacy is scheduled for release next year on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
