NEW YORK (AP) – Harry Brant, a rising model and the son of supermodel Stephanie Seymour and editor Peter M. Brant, died. He was 24 years old.
Young Brant died on Sunday from an accidental overdose, his family said in a statement to The New York Times, saying “his life was interrupted by this devastating illness.”
“He was a creative, loving and powerful soul that brought light to the hearts of so many people,” said the statement. “He was really a beautiful person inside and out.”
Brant had appeared in Italian Vogue and in campaigns for the Balmain brand. He had previously launched a unisex makeup line with his brother – Peter Brant, Jr. – for MAC cosmetics.
“I think people can definitely express themselves in a great way through makeup, because it’s all about fantasy and becoming someone you might not necessarily be in everyday life, so you kind of manage to escape for a night with this new personality, ”Brant told W magazine in 2016.“ That’s what I’ve always done. “
His parents told the Times that he was planning to go into rehab this year and hoped to play a role in the creative side of Interview magazine, which his father publishes.
“He has achieved a lot in his 24 years, but we will never have a chance to see how much more Harry could have done,” said the family statement.
