Fox News presenter Sean Hannity rebuked Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., On Monday for speaking out against former President Donald Trump, after voting to absolve him in his trial of impeachment over the weekend.
The “Hannity” host targeted the “Republicans who turned their backs on the ex-president” in his opening monologue, pointing specifically to the “hypocrite” McConnell, as well as the seven Republican lawmakers who voted to condemn Trump for inciting 6th Capitol riot.

Senators Richard Burr of North Carolina, Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Mitt Romney of Utah, Ben Sasse of Nebraska and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania joined all Democrats to plead guilty.
Their vote represents how “out of touch” they are with the Republican Party base, said Hannity, pointing to the immediate reaction they now face in their home states.
