Halsey is apologizing to his followers after posting an Instagram photo of his fight against an eating disorder.
On Sunday, the 26-year-old singer posted an Instagram story of her “lowest point”, a topless selfie in which she looks extremely skinny.
“ED [eating disorder] ask for help, ”she wrote next to the photo.
In the second, she wrote on Twitter, “I am very sorry to post a picture of me depicting my fight with ED without a sufficient trigger warning. I was too nervous to post and didn’t think straight. I had positive intentions. I would never want to harm someone who shares my struggle. ”
She then added, “With that said, I’m going to disconnect now, because it has become something I am not emotionally equipped to deal with yet. I hope everything is alright. ”
Halsey, whose real name is Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, has been openly about having an eating disorder in the past.
In an interview with Rolling Stone last year, she said, “It’s still happening in my body. I only know when to get in front of him. “
