Gwyneth Paltrow says she didn’t want to get divorced

Perhaps conscious decoupling was not so conscious after all.

Gwyneth Paltrow and her ex Chris Martin may have helped to coined the term “conscious decoupling”, but apparently that was not what she wanted to do.

Gwyneth and Chris, who share the children Apple and Moses, were married in 2003, but decided to separate in 2014.

At the time, the couple admitted that “although we love each other very much, we will remain separate” and expressed their commitment to putting their children first.

But looking back on their divorce in a recent episode of Anna Faris is not qualified, Gwyneth said it was never her wish to part.

“I learned a lot from something I least wanted in the world. I never wanted to get divorced. I never wanted to not be married to the father of my children, theoretically, “explained Gwyneth.

But Gwyneth added that something good came out of the situation, noting, “I learned more about myself through this process than I could have imagined. And because I focused on responsibility, I was able to find the most amazing man and build something I never did. I had before with Brad [Falchuk], my husband.”

Gwyneth and Brad developed a friendship after meeting on the set of Happiness. Later, things got romantic, and the pair ended up getting married in 2018.

“He demands that I be honest with myself. This is difficult for me, but it really helps me to grow,” concluded Gwyneth.

So, although the separation of Gwyneth and Chris may not have been entirely ideal, it seems that things worked out in the end!
