Gwen Stefani talks about the shock of the engagement and presents ‘Let Me Reintroduce Myself’ with Throwback Doppelgängers on the ‘Tonight Show’

As for the ring, Gwen said that Blake hid it in the door of his “disgusting” truck, “as if you were driving through trees and other things and he could fall at any moment,” she said. But then Shelton saved the day by asking Stefani to get something from the fire cabinet and she went crazy when she saw the bling and everything was fine, although now, because of the pandemic, they have no idea when they will actually have a wedding.

In honor of the single and his lookback video, Stefani played a round of “50 Yes or No” with Fallon, answering questions about where she grew up, whether she ever saw a UFO, her first job, whether she can escape, if No Doubt will never make music again, if she is afraid of spiders and if she believes in ghosts and love at first sight, and more. For the record, she never tried avocado milk.

For the “Reintroduct” performance, Stefani was surrounded by four dancers dressed like their doppelgängers from the 1990s in tall blond ponytails, shiny blue pants and white sports bras. Leaving to the sound of island-flavored pop music, Stefani rocked with a retro-future look too, mixing a fringed denim jacket with thigh-high blue vinyl boots over faded jeans. Her characteristic style of bouncy performance was also in full force as she swayed and swayed along the cheerful pop tune about returning to the spotlight as music videos and the titles of her many hits rolled on the screens behind her.
