One new Grand Theft Auto 6 and the leak from Rockstar Games has GTA excited fans, but unfortunately it smells like fake. However, this did not stop him from circulating within the great theft Self community and being caught by many as a genuine leak. As for the leak itself, it’s a music producer and Twitter user named Chiko Kan, who recently shared an email allegedly from Richard Barnes, head of international communications at Rockstar Games.
In the email, Barnes invites Kan to work with Rockstar Games to help curate music for the developer’s “next projects in 2021”, one of which will be “HUGE”. The alleged email does not reveal many other things of note and does not refer to any single IP, but the prevailing assumption is that the “HUGE” project refers to GTA 6.
Below, you can check the email yourself:
There were many ups and downs in 2020, but we are still working and now we are going to 2021 with strength com

If this leak is legitimate, it suggests that GTA 6 will be revealed this year or even released this year, although we know that the latter is practically impossible at this time for a variety of reasons. Again, this can be for something related to GTA Online or something completely new, but the safe bet would be that HUGE is a reference to GTA 6.
That said, it looks fake. On the one hand, the color of the text between the second and third paragraphs is not even the same color. This is a big red flag, but it is not the only red flag. The other red flag is the fact that Barnes left Rockstar Games in 2019. None of those red flags alone 100 percent and totally unmasked the leak, but combined they come as close to unmasking it as definitely as you can get.
If the email is real and relatively new, then Kan probably hasn’t gone through the NDA process yet, which is why he could share it on Twitter. However, it can’t be new because Barnes hasn’t been to Rockstar Games since 2019.
There are many holes in this leak, but that did not stop it from circulating. At the time of publication, Kan did not respond to criticism of the leak and Rockstar Games did not comment on the situation at all. As a result, GTA fans are left with nothing but speculation and a questionable-looking email.
