‘Gorilla Glue girl’ Tessica Brown reveals why she stuck her hair

Tessica Brown, the TikToker who went viral for spreading her hair with Gorilla Glue, revealed the real reason why she used the sticky substance – she needed her mane perfectly smoothed in place for a date.

In early January, Brown had plans to go out by the lake near her sister’s house with her fiance Dewitt and was in a hurry to leave the house, she told The Post Wednesday during an interview on Zoom.

“We were leaving, so, I mean, I went to spray Got2B glue and it came out … so now I’m taking a look around the house, I have to find something you know for these fugitives,” said Brown, 40.

“We were going to the lake, so I know I couldn’t handle those leaks, it wouldn’t work, not sitting on the lake.”

Brown said she “ran into the kitchen, went through the fridge” and sitting on top was the quick fix she thought would fix her hair – a can of sprayed Gorilla glue.

“I’m how do you know what? I can use this and as soon as I get home I can take it out, you know, wash it, ”she continued.

“This is not what happened.”

She sprayed the glue on her hair and then, as part of her normal routine, dried the industrial patch, which cemented it on her scalp, and flew out the door, thinking it was okay.

After a happy afternoon at the lake with his boyfriend, Brown returned home to bathe and realized the plight he was in.

“Listen, it didn’t come out, the water dripped like it was the shower curtain. It was a bad business, ”recalled Brown.

“I was scared to even call my mom, I didn’t call my mom for a week.”

At first, she imagined she would try again the next day and leave.

“I kept saying that I’m not going to panic yet,” she said.

But as the days went by and her hair was completely tied up, she realized she had a problem with her hands and finally gave in to call her mother and ask for help.

“She was here at point zero point two seconds,” Brown laughed.

“We even tried cooking oil, we tried all the oils in the store.”

The whole time, Brown was in agony.

“The ponytail I had, it was like someone was squeezing it, squeezing it every day. It looked like red ants were on the inside, I can’t get under, ”said Brown.

“I wasn’t sleeping, I wasn’t eating, everything was trying to get it out of my head, I lost between 5 and 7 kilos,” she continued.

“[I thought] that I would lose all my hair, have scalp damage and not be able to grow it back. ”

Fortunately, the famous plastic surgeon, Dr. Micheal Obeng, noticed Brown’s plight and managed to save his hair during an hour-long procedure in Beverly Hills last week.

In addition, fortunately, Brown says she is still engaged, despite being stuck in the complicated situation.

She was ordered not to put anything on her hair for the next six weeks, but said she plans to keep things simple once she is completely cured.

“I will rock with that natural look or a wig.”
