Gordon Ramsay just ate a hamburger to criticize vegetarians on TikTok

There is a lot going on at TikTok.

Gordon Ramsay was recently accused of his love of meat by a well-known vegan TikToker – and in a viral video response, the famous chef tackled the drama by eating a meat burger on camera.

So, let’s go back a little bit here. Gordon has a ridiculously popular TikTok account with almost 20 million followers. As you probably expected, he uses it to show food.

Many of these foods – almost all – include meat:

He has a particular predilection for evaluating strange videos of other people’s meat:

And if he thinks you’re fucking a steak, he will despise you by calling you a “donut”:

In his video, @ThatVeganTeacher sings an original song with the lyrics: “Eating animals is wrong, Gordon Ramsay / Hurting animals is wrong, Gordon Ramsay / And if you call me a ‘donut’, that’s fine, as long as you’re a vegan right now onwards. “

Well, Gordon just responded to her video on what quickly became one of his most viral TikToks of all time.

At the beginning of the video, Gordon watches @ThatVeganTeacher sing his song while chewing on a piece of lettuce.

He starts spitting out the lettuce and calling it a “vegan donut”. He then shows the hamburger to the camera and starts eating it.

“Beef burgers were eaten while making this TikTok,” Ramsay subtitles the video, which has accumulated over 10 million likes and 45 million views so far.

He also uploaded the video to Instagram, noting, “It’s an honor to have written a song about me … and now back to my beef burger.”

Gordon’s video of eating a hamburger is proving to be quite controversial online. Many people support the celebrity chef:

Her daughter, Holly Anna Ramsay, had jokes:

Many commentators on Instagram and TikTok thought @ThatVeganTeacher was wrong, “trying to force people to convert”:

In fact, even some who call themselves vegans and vegetarians are on Gordon’s side in this:

But not everyone is celebrating Gordon’s applause. Some people are completely upset:

He was accused of “mocking the death of innocent beings” and “disparaging the truth” with his video:

Others questioned whether @ThatVeganTeacher really did something wrong here:

And several users asked Gordon to consider the environmental impact of eating meat:

Well, no matter where you are in the debate, this commentator pointed out an undeniable fact:

And this user summed up the whole drama very well:
