Good Brothers make the debut of AEW, line up with Omega and Young Bucks

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson of Impact Wrestling made their AEW debut at Dynamite tonight, saving Kenny Omega from a Jon Moxley attack and aligning himself with Omega and The Young Bucks’ The Elite.

Gallows and Anderson’s debut came in saving Omega from a Jon Moxley attack. The Young Bucks then entered the fray after other team members tried to attack the Good Brothers and Omega.

The AEW ad team strongly encouraged this as a “The Club” and “The Band” meeting, referencing this group’s Bullet Club alliance in NJPW without mentioning the Bullet Club name.

After defending Omega’s AEW World Title against Rey Fenix, Jon Moxley ran to attack the champion with a barbed wire stick. Gallows and Anderson came in to defend Omega. Omega, Gallows and Anderson began to defeat Moxley and an army of undercard talents who hit the ring to try to defend themselves from the attack.

The Young Bucks then ran, apparently to fight Gallows and Anderson. Instead, The Bucks hit Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr. with superkicks while trying to attack Omega.

Omega, Gallows and Anderson posed in the ring with the Bullet Club’s “very sweet” hand signal and invited the Bucks to join the ring. The Bucks seemed reluctant at first, but they threw up too much candy and the final scene of the show was the five of them with their hands together in the pose.

The interpromotional angle between Impact and AEW started at the Winter is Coming show on December 2, 2020. Impact executive and longtime friend of Omega, Don Callis, helped Omega win the AEW Moxley title on that show.

In the weeks that followed, Omega, as well as AEW announcer Tony Schiavone and AEW president Tony Khan, appeared on Impact’s schedule.

Before Gallows and Anderson’s debut tonight, Callis was the only Impact performer to appear on Dynamite from this interpromotional angle.
