Twitter users have made #FireGinaCarano the trend again amid the Star Wars The actress’s apparent response to the situation in Washington DC Although Carano did not post anything about the political upheaval in her profile, she “liked” several posts shared by apparent supporters of the riot.

This caused many Mandalorian fans to respond to The Walt Disney Company’s own statement, written by CEO Bob Chapek.

Today, Carano returned to social media, posting a GIF with a quote from The princess bride (1987) on his Twitter account. The short clip of the film features Princess Buttercup (Robin Wright) asking Westley (Cary Elwes): “So, why is there fear behind your eyes?” It certainly looks like Carano was responding to comments about disturbances related to his social media activity that have surfaced in recent days.

Other commentators, such as RMH III, calmly expressed concern at Carano’s apparent lack of concern about the coronavirus outbreak:

Gina, I don’t troll people and I’m not going to give you a shit minute about COVID, but … 350,000 people died of this disease and most of the transmission is from non-symptomatic people. Other countries that closed completely suffered much less than we did.

Other Twitter users who did not agree with Carano’s post took a more intense stance. Stash trim wrote:

Wow … I used to be a fan … now I’m writing to Disney asking them to remove a traitor from their program.

It is not clear whether the poster above spoke of Marshal Cara Dune – who operates in Nevarro – or Marshal Cobb Vanth (Timothy Olyphant) Mos Pelgo who, with the help of Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and a Tusken Raider clan, killed a Krayt dragon on Tatooine on The Mandalorian Season 2, Episode 1 (“Chapter 9: The Marshal”).

Carano’s future in the Star Wars galaxy is not known at this time. Mandalorian showrunner and creator Jon Favreau and executive producer Dave Filoni have not talked about whether it will be cast or not in future seasons of The Mandalorian – Season 3 has been confirmed – or any of its derivatives.

There are rumors that the next New Republic Rangers was written as a Cara Dune spinoff due to its second season story arc revolving around becoming a marshal – but there were also rumors that Disney requested a formal apology from Carano before granting her the show . None of these rumors have been confirmed.
