Get offers on Apple’s Magic Keyboard, Sony headphones and more

January 2021 was full of important news, but it was a little bad when it comes to business. Still, we did our part to scour all the major retailers for discounts on products we care about (and we think you care too). There aren’t many new deals to be found in this week’s dispatch, but go ahead and take a look if you haven’t been following them closely.

If you feel up to date with the negotiations, here is a reminder that you can spend time here to have a quiet moment from all the drama of GameStop and AMC’s actions. So again, if this is your first time to hear about all of this and want to hear more, check out my colleague Liz Lopatto’s Big Picture video which is all about it.

Sony’s WH-1000XM4 headphones cost $ 278 and are worth

Once in the blue moon, Sony’s latest wireless headphones with active noise cancellation and great sound get a big discount. This is happening now, in fact, and you can save $ 72 on the WH-1000XM4 – headphones that I would choose right away if it was not yet well served by its predecessor. This model is considerably better, however, with support for simultaneous Bluetooth connections and has an automatic pause function when you remove them.

I’ve listed some links below, but this deal is also happening at Adorama, where you can get the headphones with a 20,800mAh power bank at no extra cost.

The cheapest Opus headsets from Razer cost $ 60

For something much less expensive (and really, not so different), Razer’s noise-canceling Opus wireless headphones cost $ 140 on Amazon. They usually cost $ 200. For that price, it’s a good deal, considering that these ear cans can automatically play and pause music when you put them on, and they have active noise cancellation and USB-C charging.

Opus are Razer’s everyday noise canceling headphones and come with a comfortable fit, USB-C charging and good sound quality.

Get a simple smart watch with four smart bulbs for just $ 30

Best Buy is hosting a fantastic deal on a kind of starter kit for a smart home. Lenovo’s Smart Clock Essential (Dan Seifert review here) usually costs $ 50 on its own, but is in this kit along with a pack of four 60 WC by GE white LED lamps that you can control with your voice via the Google Assistant, which is what Smart Clock Essential has been integrated into.

Apple’s Magic Keyboard still has $ 100 off at Walmart

Walmart’s exclusive deal for the Apple Magic Keyboard lasted much longer than I expected. Usually $ 299, now it’s $ 199. It will work with the 11-inch iPad Pro or the latest iPad Air (also launched in 2020, with USB-C charging). When you put it on, it will give your tablet its own dedicated keyboard and trackpad. It essentially offers a laptop-like experience, if you’re trying to do more and don’t want to carry a lot of devices.

This version of Apple’s Magic Keyboard can fit on the iPad Pro (11-inch) or on the new iPad Air that charges via USB-C. It provides a set of illuminated keys and a trackpad so that you can be more productive or perhaps move around more efficiently.
