More than 100 members of the GOP Congress are also expected to oppose certification. Any such objection must be approved by the two chambers of Congress to really prevent Biden from taking office.
Such an effort is almost certainly doomed to failure in both the Democratic House and the Senate, where a sufficient number of Republican senators have said they will vote to certify Biden that he is likely to win a majority.
Conway was for years a strident critic of the Trump administration, despite his wife’s role in it, prompting the president to highlight him by name in 2019. Conway went on to work with the Lincoln Project before announcing that he would move away from the anti-Trump regime super-cap at the end of 2020.
