Generac Power Systems Plans Trenton, South Carolina, Manufacturing and Distribution Center

Generac Power Systems plans to open a new manufacturing, assembly and distribution operation in Trenton, South Carolina. The project is expected to generate about 450 new jobs over the next two years.

The expansion will begin with the acquisition and upgrade of a 421,000 square foot manufacturing, distribution and office unit located at Parque Industrial 30 Boulevard. The facility is expected to be operational in the third quarter and has the ability to expand further when needed.

“With significant demand for Generac products across the country, we are excited to expand our operational capacity to accommodate the greatest interest in residential power systems,” said Aaron Jagdfeld, President and CEO of Generac Power Systems, Inc. ” Trenton is strategically located closer to our customers in the southern part of the country and has access to a local workforce capable of helping us to meet growing demand while strengthening our market leadership position. “

The facility will support increased demand for domestic backup generators and associated energy technologies and will serve as a distribution center for customers in the southeastern part of the United States.

“We are proud to welcome Generac to the South Carolina business community and look forward to seeing everything we know they will accomplish in Edgefield County,” said South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster. “With an unmatched workforce at your disposal and one of the most competitive business environments in the world, we know that Generac will have the tools necessary for success.”

Generac is a global leader in energy solutions, supplying backup power and main power systems, motor and battery powered tools and equipment and solar energy storage systems.
