GeForce Now game streaming starts to deploy Chrome support

If you want to try NVIDIA’s cloud gaming service without installing the app, you can access it from your computer’s browser now. XDA points out that the release notes for version 2.0.27 of GeForce Now reveal beta support for the Chrome browser on Windows and macOS, however, some users are reporting that they are still in older versions. As for other platforms, like other browsers or Linux, they “can work”, but are not supported for the time being.

If you are a customer in the duly qualified group, just browse to the site to get started. NVIDIA also added a way to share GeForce Now simply by sending a link to your friends, a new + Shortcut button to place games directly on your desktop, and support for new Macs with Apple’s M1 technology.

GeForce Now was launched almost a year ago and has since added support for streaming games to iOS through the Safari browser and already supports access via Chrome OS. NVIDIA’s approach is different from other services, however, as users buy their games through compatible stores and maintain access to them outside of streaming. Buying Founder’s membership subscription gives players access to high-quality graphics with RTX, priority access and gaming sessions over six hours.
