Gaetz says the border ‘crisis’ is just beginning, warns of ‘massive rush’ soon

Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., Said that the immigration crisis unfolding on the southern border is just the beginning and warned that the increase in migrants will only continue to grow.

The Florida Republican warned on Tuesday that the United States is only at the “front end” of the situation and predicted that the border will face a “massive race” soon.

“We are just at the beginning of America’s immigration crisis,” wrote Gaetz. “A massive race on our border is coming.”

BIDEN SAYS IT HAS NO PLANS TO TRAVEL TO THE SOUTHERN FRONTIER

In a statement to Fox News, Gaetz amplified the tweet, saying that former President Donald Trump’s immigration policies that “combated the flow of illegal immigration have been revoked” by the current president, declaring that the crisis belongs to Biden.

“The policies put in place by Donald Trump that fought the flow of illegal immigration have been lifted by Joe Biden. This is his crisis,” Gaetz told Fox News. “We are seeing signs that we are just at the end of the wave with the immigration crisis. Support networks for illegal immigration and human trafficking are growing.”

Gaetz said there are “substantial propaganda and recruitment efforts” taking place in Central and South America to ensure that “there is a massive race” on the southern border and announced that he would submit several amendments to the “next appropriation projects” that would prevent federal dollars from going to sanctuary states and states that “encourage foreigners” to cross the border illegally.

“There is a lot of propaganda and recruitment going on in Central and South America, so there is a massive rush on the border with the United States,” said the Florida Republican. “In the coming weeks, I will present amendments to the next draft bills in Congress to prevent federal funds from being allocated to states with sanctuary policies and states that encourage foreigners to cross our border illegally.”

Gaetz’s prediction comes at a time when the Biden government refuses to describe the dangerous situation on the border as a “crisis”.

Four migrants caught trying to cross the border illegally since the beginning of the fiscal year in October have names that appear on terrorism watch lists, a congressional aide told Fox News on Tuesday.

In addition, it has recently been reported that some migrant children held at a Border Patrol facility in Donna, Texas, resorted to sleeping on the floor and spent long periods without bathing due to overcrowding.

Reporters recorded the current number of people at the facility at 1,800. The facility was designed to accommodate 250 people.
