Former ‘bachelor’ student Taylor Nolan under investigation by tweets

Former “Bachelor” contestant Taylor Nolan is being investigated by Washington state health officials for racist comments she made on the Internet, Page Six can confirm with exclusivity.

Earlier this month, we reported that the state agency was still considering whether or not to investigate the “Bachelor” alumnus after receiving “various complaints” from people who thought the reality show star’s mental health counselor license should be revoked due to its controversial tweets.

Although an investigation is underway, Washington Department of Health spokesman Gordon MacCracken told Page Six on Wednesday that “it does not necessarily mean that disciplinary action will take place, only that we are advancing to the stage of an investigation. “.

MacCracken added that there is no specific timetable for how long the investigation can take, nor can he “predict a result”. DOH will no longer comment on the investigation as it is still pending.

A representative for Nolan declined to comment on the latest development.

The star of the 27-year-old reality show, which first appeared on Nick Viall’s “The Bachelor” season and then on “Bachelor in Paradise”, was licensed as a mental health advisor in Washington in 2016.

DOH told us earlier that she “has no previous disciplinary history”.

However, Nolan – whose mother is white and an African-American father – was criticized in February for old tweets, in which she destroyed the BIPOC, LGBTQ and mental health communities.

The tweets included her talking about “loud blacks” and saying that “# Asian problem is not s – t” because stereotypes include “they have a small penis”. She also angered people by writing: “#WeWontWorkIf I already diagnosed you with a personality disorder”, and answered the topic, “treatment: SUICIDE”.

“My tweets from ten years ago are unpleasant, they are bad, they were wrong and they are painful,” she said in a 30-minute apology video. “I want to make it clear that they do not harm the work that I do today, they are literally how I got here to do this work.”

Since the scandal, Nolan has remained very discreet on social media. She shared on March 15 that she was “setting aside time and space to reorient and reflect” and reappeared last week to speak about the attacks on the Asian community.
