Fighters come together to support the family of the late fighter Brodie Lee

The wrestling world lost one of its most memorable figures over the weekend with the death of Brodie Lee. The fighter, whose real name was Jon Huber, died on Saturday (December 26) at the age of 41 and, after his death , a series of tributes and several nods of financial support for his family were offered.

Huber first fought under the name of Luke Harper before finally taking the nickname Brodie Lee for his wrestling pursuits. His wife Amanda posted on Instagram: “He was surrounded by loved ones after a hard battle against a lung problem unrelated to Covid. @Mayoclinic is literally the best team of doctors and nurses in the world who surrounded me with constant love.”

The fighter spent time in the WWE before moving to AEW and Huber’s wife also cited the AEW community for their support during these difficult times.

Not long after the fighter’s death, fighter CM Punk agreed to send all proceeds from his Pro Wrestling Tees merchandise for the next month to Lee’s family. Realizing the gesture, fighter Mick Foley followed suit with the same financial promise .

AEW offered a moving tribute to Huber, stating: “The All Elite Wrestling family is heartbroken. In an industry full of good people, Jon Huber was exceptionally respected and loved in every way – a fierce and captivating talent, an attentive mentor. and simply a very kind soul who totally contradicted his personality as Mr. Brodie Lee. “
