Federal police are investigating a frightening threat of hitting the Capitol building with a plane sent to New York air traffic controllers on Monday, reports CBS. In an audio message, an unidentified voice said: “We are going to fly on a plane to the Capitol on Wednesday. Soleimani will be avenged. ”The threat came on the anniversary of the death of an Iranian military officer, Qassem Soleimani, from a US drone attack. Iranian leaders have vowed revenge in fiery rhetoric since the general’s death in January 2020. The federal police do not believe the threat is credible, but the Federal Aviation Administration has contacted authorities about the investigation of the aviation radio frequency violation, according to with CBS. Congress is expected to count and certify the results of the Electoral College vote on Wednesday.
