Evan Rachel Wood claims that ex-fiancee Marilyn Manson ‘horribly abused me for years’

Actress Evan Rachel Wood released a statement alleging that ex-fiance Marilyn Manson ‘abused her horribly for years’, while four other women made allegations about the shock rocker.

Evan, 33, and singer Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, 52, were engaged in January 2010 after a three-year romance, but canceled the engagement in August 2010.

They met when she was 18 and he was 18 years older than her.

Evan claimed in his testimony released on Instagram on Monday: ‘My attacker’s name is Brian Warner, also known worldwide as Marilyn Manson.

‘He started to prepare me when I was a teenager and he abused me horribly for years.

Evan continued: ‘I was brainwashed and manipulated until submission. I’m tired of living in fear of retaliation, slander or blackmail.

“I am here to expose this dangerous man and draw attention to the many industries that have enabled him, before he destroys more lives.

She concluded: ‘I am with the many victims who will not remain silent.’

The other four women who made allegations about Manson on Monday …

ASHLEY WALTERS

“I continue to suffer from PTSD and to fight depression. I kept in touch with some people who went through their own traumas, under his control. While we all struggled, like the survivors, to get on with our lives, I kept hearing stories disturbingly similar to our own experiences. The abuse he caused was clear; he continues to inflict so many and I cannot stand still and let this happen to others. Brian Warner needs to be held accountable. ‘

SARAH MCNEILLY

‘I’m afraid to bring any spotlight on me to avoid falling into your sights again. As a result of the way he treated me, I suffer from mental health problems and PTSD that have affected my personal and professional relationships, my self-esteem and personal goals. I believe it starts to ruin people’s lives. I support everything you have and everything will come. I want to see Brian held responsible for his wickedness’

ASHLEY LINDSAY MORGAN

I have night terror, PTSD, anxiety and, above all, disabling OCD. I try to wash constantly to get it out or get it out of me. … I am advancing so it will finally stop. ‘

GABRIELLA

‘It took me five years to talk and say I was in an abusive relationship. I was diagnosed with PTSD and still suffer from nightmares. I blocked many of the memories, but the feelings remain and manifest in a variety of ways. The reason why I am finally sharing this traumatic experience is because of my healing and because I am tired of being silent. I don’t think it’s fair for someone not to be held responsible for their horrible actions. I am not a victim. I am a Survivor.’

According to Vanity Fair, at least four other women have posted their own charges against Manson.

They detailed ‘distressing experiences that claim to include sexual assault, psychological abuse and / or various forms of coercion, violence and intimidation’.

In 2009, Manson told Spin: ‘The song I want to kill you like they do in movies is about my fantasies.’

And answering a question about his relationship with his ex, Evan, Manson said, ‘I have fantasies every day about breaking her skull with a sledgehammer.’

He gave a shocking account of their relationship at Christmas 2008, saying: ‘Every time I called her that day – I called 158 times – I took a razor and cut myself in the face or hands.

‘I wanted to show her the pain she put me through. It was like, “I want you to physically see what you’ve done.” ‘

Manson’s representatives ‘categorically denied’ similar allegations in the past.

A Manson representative previously released a statement to the NME saying: ‘It is my understanding that Evan Rachel Wood dated several people at the time when she was dating Manson.

“Basic Internet search will give you a number of other names that have not appeared in any of our discussions.

‘His next points are about the comments Manson made in Spin magazine in 2009. His confusion over the timeline of this is extremely worrying.

‘The comments at Spin where Manson had a fantasy of using a sledgehammer on Evan and he cut himself 158 times was obviously an interview by a theatrical rock star promoting a new album, not a factual account.

“The fact that Evan and Manson were engaged six months after this interview would indicate that no one took this story literally.”

They continued: ‘There are also numerous articles over the course of several years where Evan Rachel Wood speaks very positively about her relationship with Manson.

‘In The Edit at NetAPorters.com, she said,’ ‘I wouldn’t trade any [our relationship], Wood told the magazine. ” I appreciate everything he taught me. I just don’t think we were right for each other.

Patricia Arquette tweeted earlier: ‘Marilyn Manson cutting herself 158 x when she called Evan Rachel Wood after the breakup, isn’t it [love], it is abuse. ‘

In 2018, Evan testified before Congress and detailed a distressing account of sexual and physical abuse with a partner whose name she did not reveal.

She gave testimony to pressure all 50 states to adopt the Sexual Violence Survivors’ Rights Act.

Evan said, ‘I was not well and I am not well.’

She argued: ‘sickly rituals of tying me up with my hands and feet to be mentally and physically tortured until my abuser felt that I had proven my love for them.

‘At this point, while I was tied up and being beaten and told unspeakable things, I really felt like I could die.

‘Not just because my assailant told me’ ‘I could kill you now’ ‘, but because at that moment I felt like I had left my body and was too afraid to run. He would find me. ‘

She also said: ‘My experience with domestic violence was this: Toxic mental, physical and sexual abuse that started slowly but increased over time, including threats to my life, severe gas lighting and brainwashing, waking up to the man she claimed love me raping what he believed to be my unconscious body. ‘

The Hollywood Reporter wrote that in May 2018, a police report was filed against Manson citing unspecified sexual crimes that allegedly occurred in 2011.

In August 2018, the Los Angeles District Attorney announced that he was refusing to proceed with the case due to a lack of supporting evidence.

Manson’s lawyer Howard E. King told The Hollywood Reporter that the ‘allegations made to the police were and are categorically denied by Mr. Warner and are either completely delusional or part of a calculated attempt to generate publicity…. . … Any allegation of sexual impropriety or imprisonment at that or any other time is false. ‘

MailOnline contacted representatives from Evan Rachel Wood and Brian Warner for comment.

Later, Evan married actor Jamie Bell, 34, and they have a seven-year-old son. They separated in 2014 after a two-year marriage.

Manson married Lindsay Elizabeth Warner in February 2020. He married 2005-2007 burlesque performer Dita Von Teese.

In 1999, he became engaged to actress Charmed Rose McGowan, 47, but she canceled the engagement in 2001, blaming the ‘lifestyle differences’.
