Emily Ratajkowski gives birth to her first child

Congratulations are in order!

Emily Ratajkowski welcomed her first child, Sylvester Apollo Bear, with her husband Sebastian Bear-McClard.

“Sylvester Apollo Bear joined us on the earth side,” she wrote in an Instagram post on Thursday. “Sly arrived on 3/21/21 on the most surreal, beautiful and loving morning of my life.”

The model, writer and actress routinely kept fans up to date throughout her pregnancy, writing on Instagram on Wednesday that she was “[about] to burst. “

In October 2020, Ratajkowski announced in a personal rehearsal for Vogue that the couple was pregnant.

“When my husband and I tell friends that I am pregnant, the first question after ‘Congratulations’ is almost always: ‘Do you know what you want?'” Ratajkowski wrote in the article, which discussed gender, pregnancy and parenting.

“We like to answer that we will not know sex until our son is 18 and that they will tell us then,” she said. “There is a truth in our line, however, that suggests possibilities that are much more complex than any genitalia with which our child can be born.”

The 29-year-old model and the 33-year-old producer of “Uncut Gems” were married in a surprise ceremony at the New York City Hall in February 2018, after only a few weeks of dating.

Ratajkowski opened his proposal in an interview with Jimmy Fallon shortly after she married, explaining how the two made their own engagement rings.

“He proposed to me at the Minetta Tavern and he didn’t have a ring, so I said ‘um, nah’,” said Ratajkowski.

“And then he took the paper clip with which the bill was paid and made me a ring, which I really found very romantic. And then we made our real rings. ”
