Ellen DeGeneres detailed her experience with covid after a positive test for the potentially deadly virus before Christmas, when she was forced to cancel her program.

The 62-year-old TV presenter returned for her first New Year’s program this week and told viewers that she slept 16 hours a day and had extreme back pain.

Ellen went on to discuss her ordeal when she returned home, where she lives with his wife for 12 years, Portia de Rossi.

‘So for the first three days, I slept 16 hours a day, then on the fourth day I woke up with spasms in my back, so I thought I had strained a muscle or slept strangely.

‘But it persisted, so the doctor prescribed painkillers and muscle relaxants – jackpot! Finally, this thing is paying off.

‘The painkillers didn’t help, it felt like I had a broken rib. So, they put me in a steroid pack, but they make you very quick and nervous.

‘So I went on with all of that, painkillers, muscle relaxants and steroids – I’m not sure if that’s the best way, I’m not a doctor.’

– I’m still using them, I find the relaxants useful. I talked to my brother and told him about the back pain, he had a friend with her at the time and then I talked to several other people. So now, apparently, back pain is a symptom of greed. Now you know! It’s the only symptom I have.

‘I started to feel better, so I’m very happy and feeling good now. I don’t know how I did it, I use a mask and wash my hands and only licked three doorknobs.

‘For people who are struggling with the disease now, my heart is with them.’

Ellen used social media to announce that she was the victim of a highly contagious virus that swept the world in the past ten months.

‘Hello everyone, I want everyone to know that I tested positive for Covid-19. Fortunately, I’m feeling good now, ‘she wrote in a statement posted on Twitter.
