Appearing with Paul on the webcam, the Avengers star talked about the strange moment when Paul’s runny nose dripped onto his face during a passionate kiss scene.

As Paul exclaimed, ‘Oh no, don’t let her tell the story’, she said, ‘Paul has three layers of purple paint on his face, he can’t feel his skin.

‘He was giving me a kiss in this pre-COVID scene and his snot fell on my face.’

‘And it was the first time in our relationship that Paul was genuinely mad at me.’

Paul, mortified, added: ‘Elizabeth was the real perpetrator!’

Discussing the filming of the program before the COVID-19 pandemic, she said: ‘It was probably a lot of fun to do.

‘Filming in front of a live studio audience, pretending to be at a Dick Van Dyke show, but that you are a superhero character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was a magical and fun thing.

‘We were in such a hurry to do this together as a whole.’

While Paul is in New York, Elizabeth is stranded outside London after filming for her latest film, Doctor Strange And The Multitude Of Madness has been suspended.

She must star in the Doctor Strange sequel alongside the main star, Benedict Cumberbatch.
