Warning: there are spoilers ahead for WandaVision episode 4!

Yesterday, the last episode of WandaVision confirmed what many viewers suspected all along: the city of Westview is not a paradise inspired by TV Land, but an illusory prison for Wanda itself. Despite this latest revelation, the series has not yet finished making reference to old series. With five episodes remaining in the show’s first season, there are other eras of television to honor. And one of them will find Wanda and Vision with sporty looks that must be familiar to fans of Marvel’s old guard.

As we saw in the series trailers, Wanda and Vision will wear their precise comic costumes in an upcoming Halloween-themed episode. And while talking to Vanity Fair (via ComicBook.com), Elizabeth Olsen shared what it was like to honor her character’s classic look. Initially, the outfit was not there. However, Olsen insisted.

“I was so excited!” said Olsen. “We have a Halloween episode and they were trying to find out how big a nod was to the character we were going to do and he started with the classic Scarlet Witch costume. It was kind of a gypsy thing that has to wear a bandanna and I, like, fought for it. I was like, ‘No, we have to get to the bottom … that’s the best thing, if Paul is doing this, I’m doing it.

Olsen also hinted that the characters will wear these outfits in more than one scene.

“I’m really in the suit for a while,” added Olsen. “And it was so much fun. I loved it and it was the perfect way to wear this costume, because you can’t take this costume seriously. “

The fifth episode of WandaVision opens next Friday, February 5 at Disney +.
